Brooke Adams (born February 8, 1949) is an accomplished actress, filmmaker, and television personality from the United States.
he is best known for playing Sarah Bracknell in The Dead Zone, Abby in Days of Heaven, and Elizabeth Driscoll in Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Brooke Adams is a New York native who comes from a rich family. She is a direct descendant of two US presidents, John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
She developed a keen interest in dancing when she was very young and went on to attend the High School of Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet.
Her acting debut was in a 1963 episode of CBS's East Side/West Side drama series. Eight years later, she made her debut in the mystery-horror film Murders in the Rue Morgue, playing an uncredited role.
She is also well-known for her small-screen roles, including Elizabeth James Hires in All Downhill from Here and Senator Diane Vaynerchuk in BrainDead.
Brooke Adams has nearly 60 film and television credits in her five-decade career. She was nominated for a Saturn Award in 1979 for Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
